dan1.jpgDaniel Holloway joined Back Stage as national news editor in 2009. Previously, he was a writer for the daily newspaper Metro, where he covered film and entertainment-industry trends, profiled artists and newsmakers, and was eventually named lead film critic. He began his career on the sports desks of the Tallahassee Democrat and the Miami Herald, and has been a regular contributor to Time Out New York, the Hollywood Reporter, the Huffington Post, National Public Radio, and the Comics Journal.  For most of its run, he was the regular film critic and occasional guest co-host for NPR’s national morning show The Bryant Park Project.  He has also appeared on CBS’ Early Show, NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday, Air America’s Doing Time With Ron Kuby, TruTV’s Star Jones, and GOOD’s Good News.

Daniel Holloway lives in Brooklyn with—in order of preference—a wife, a cat and an Xbox 360.
